Wrecks gone wild!

This little garden sits on the backside of our lawn. It edges up to the wild property beyond. When we first moved here I had some plants given to me but no place to put them. So I tucked them into this area as we were working on flower beds, garden, yard work in general. Then I started rescuing broken but still cute enough to look at  pieces. I tucked tree branches through the holes in the benches to keep them in from blowing over in the wind. The little bench in the front is on its last legs but so far so good.  And I just added an old cracked planter and transformed it into a bird bath with a gold pan we bought with us when we moved down from Alaska.

And wouldn't you know it, all the plants I tucked away in there temporarily started growing and sending up babies.  So it became a little sweet spot in the yard and now I don't have the heart to move any of it.  It catches my eye from every window on the backside of the house.

Funny how the unplanned works wonders at times.
Great shots. I think we bought a gold panning pan with the new house. I have got to do some research, but the fire place tools look like they are sitting in a real old prospectors pan. Gotta check that out.

Take care up there and enjoy the growing season.
Love from down in NC

I'd leave it alone too. From there, you also overlook your entire back yard. Loving the sweet cherub sunning her cheeks on the bench. She's daydreaming.

Let 'er go ~ Let 'er grow! Speaking of prospecting gold pans, I wonder where my pan has gone to. I know I bought one and swirled out a few flakes at one time from some of the dirt that was hauled in for our driveway. Go figure... I'm probably rich and don't even know it:) Wouldn't that just crank Slim's cork if I started digging up the driveway looking for gold!

Gave me a chuckle about the gold panning. Last week two fellows stopped at my cabin and wanted to try their pan they had recently bought. I suggested to them that if they found anything besides the BB's that have been shot around there I would be surprised. They drove on.
