Snow Crusted Rhubarb

O, wind,
 if winter comes,
 can spring
 be far behind?
~
Percy Bysshe Shelley

O, ruby rhubarb
how I prefer you
encrusted in pie
with streusel topping!

Yum! If we can't come over, would you post the recipe? This looks totally worth going off my diet for. Atleast until the whole pie is gone!

Good thing it's early growth...the snow won't hurt the rhubarb, thank goodness. Boy, you got a bit of snow again...we had only a few flurries with cold winds. Nice today tho.
That pie, oh, that pie...nuff said.

RHUBARB - - OH SO GOOD IN A PIE OR WITH CRUSHED STRAWBERRIES.

I LEARNED TO LOVE RHUBARB WHEN A BABY ON OUR HOMESTEAD IN WESTERN COLORADO.
RHUBARB WAS ONE OF THE FIRST PLANTS TO APPEAR AND BEGIN GROWING IN SPRINGTIME.
MOTHER MADE DELICIOUS PIES. sam

Snow? Still? Oh my gosh!
I love snow though and it makes for a pretty shot in the sunlight.

... with ice-cream, extra-thick cream or custard! Your pie looks tempting! I must get that patch cleared for rhubarb in my garden.

Poor rhubarb! I love the way rhubarb looks when it pops out of the ground, ruby red is a great discription.

Great how hardy rhubarb is. That pie looks delicious.

Rhubarb is such a pretty plant, even in a late snow! But I agree that we should all come to your place for pie!

Cher,
Next time we get up north, I will be
expecting one of these sitting on Mom's
table....and be sure to write my name
on it so Slim doesn't devour it before I
get a chance to sink my teeth into it!
love ya - me
