It's that time of year again!

The snowbirds should be returning soon.  For those of you who don't know what a snowbird is, they are what we commmonly refer to as the locals who travel south for the winters and then return in the spring. (missing out on all the snow, bitter weather and winter fun) This brings to mind a post I did a couple of years ago. Go on, click the link ~ you might get a chuckle out of it. chickens-and-goats  Have a laugh on me!

Funny, I never thought of "snowbirds" going back home, lol. We get 'em every winter and they leave every spring.

Ah yes the snowbirds. Not as messy as Canadian geese, but sometimes just as annoying!

LOL, I remember that entry Cher, and those neighbors. So, question is, ARE you going to get the chickens and goats? I really think you should, JUST to be annoying.

Several years ago, we had a similar problem only we asked for a variance so we COULD put our fence RIGHT ON the property line. We didn't have anyone coming over to see what we were up to but we always have had issues with anyone who rents the house next door. This HAS helped. Loved your story!

I AND WIFE AND A FEW YOUNG CHILDREN MOVED INTO A NEIGHBORHOOD IN TULSA, A SORT OF RESTRICTED AREA, MUST SIGN AGREEMENTS FOR THIS AND THAT.
KNEW NO-ONE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND MOVING FROM MISSOURI. THE NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR CAME OUT WHEN I ARRIVED WITH MY RENTAL TRUCK AND STEPPED OUT WEARING MY OVERHALLS WHEN SHE INTRODUCED HERSELF AND WATCHED CLOSELY WHILE UNLOADING THIS FIRST LOAD OF BELONGINGS.

I COULD PLAINLY SEE THAT HER EXPECTATIONS SHOWED DISCOMFORT AS FURNITURE SHOWED SERIOUS WEAR AND TEAR.
SHE PUTTERED AROUND ON HER SIDE OF THE FENCE AND WE CARRIED ON LIGHT CONVERSATION.

I EXPLAINED THAT MY LAST TRIP IN A FEW DAYS WOULD HAVE MY CHICKENS AND GOATS. HER EYES WIDENED AND A TWISTED BROW APPEARED. FOR A FEW SECONDS SHE SEEMED SPEECHLESS AND FINALLY ASKED IF I HAD READ THOUROUGHLY THE CONTRACT AGREEMENT BEFORE THE REAL ESTATE AGENT CLOSED THE SALE AS COMPLETED ?

NEXT ARRIVAL WITH THE RENTED TRUCK THE NEIGHBOR WAS RIGHT OUT THERE AND I TOLD HER I HAD BAD NEWS THAT I HAD DISPOSED OF ALL OF THE LIVESTOCK AND WOULD CERTAINLY MISS HAVING THOSE FRESH EGGS AND GOAT MILK.
SHE RELAXED AND SMILED. sam

I would love to be a snow bird. My old bones could use a little more sun but I honestly do not have a state that I like any better than Michigan. I hope your grumpy neighbor is a less of a grump.
