Brightening the Day

We are in that dull stage of fall when the beautiful leaves have already blown away and the grass is dead or dying.  I came across this picture that I took at my Mom's home in Wisconsin this summer and it brightened my day.
Do enjoy -

Yes I can see why, it brightened up mine also.
Love from down on the Gulf Coast where they would not serve me Oysters today because of the oil spill.

But the flower lightens the spirit!

Mom always has such pretty tiger lilies alongside the garage. I don't know what happened to mine this year ~ they were a little stunted and sparse compared to prior years. I'm blaming Thom ... just so he's aware of that. lol I could blame the dog because she was digging over there ~ but she's getting old and senile. It's just easier to blame Thom. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
