Change ~

September ...
a pause, for summer to say
an awkward and lingering
good-by

and for autumn,
sitting on a hilltop,
a jug of fresh cider
in one hand,

a bunch of wild purple asters
in the other,
waiting to say hello.

EVERY TIME I see the wild geese formations, my heart soars with them. My heart goes where the wild goose goes! Timely and beautiful entry Cher, very poetic. Love it.

Signs of late summer. We are about to enter one of the best seasons - "Indian Summer"! Cool mornings - warm days. Love this time of year.

I love the smells of fall, from the harvesting, cooking, the wet leaves as they float to the ground.
Lovely, Cher.

After the summer we've had I'm ready for some cider and cool nights. Beautiful post!
