Is Hibernating an Option?

Today is just one of those dark gray days, when I wish hibernation were an option. Sometimes I think the bear has the right idea, it would be nice to just sleep away these kind of days and not wake up until the sun comes out and the air is fresh but warm. The older I get the less I like winter.  I loved it as a child. My brothers and sisters and I spent hours and hours playing in the snow. Digging tunnels, making snowmen, snow forts, snowball fights and snow angels.  But today I'm just wishing I were a hibernating bear! Too bad I'm not tired enough to sleep. Yawn!!

You and me both! I get jealous of geese when they fly south for the winter. Repeat after me: spring is coming, spring is coming, spring is coming...

In summer I'm in the garden till dark. Now? It seems impossible my body would last till after 9pm.

Soon, though it will.

Love the post, Cheryl!!! As you know, I love to 'shoe' but the weather has really made a mess of our lovely Wisconsin snow - too much of an ice crust. Isn't it great to see more daylight! What a blessing to have such wonder-filled memories of your childhood, that like mine, include time spent outside!

Blessings -
Cindy

You know....once in awhile we come across those days. And I say. Do it...hibernate. Find a warm cozy place...read drink warm tea. Just be.

It's ok. Often needed.
