Nov 10, 2013

Although Christmas will soon be here and the baking, shopping, wrapping, decorating etc. is on the horizon; right now I am so ready for a little break.

I’ve been pushing myself for the past couple of weeks prepping for a craft show. The show was held on Saturday. The sewing machine was humming along as I was stitching up little aprons and pot holders. Then the kitchen counter was taken over with cupcakes and cookies.  Thankfully the canning was done and the relishes and the jyrup (that’s my original word for a cross between a jelly and a syrup) only needed to be loaded and unloaded.

My sister Melody from UpNorthWithMel came to join me for the sale with some of her beautiful birdhouses and jams .  It was so much fun and the fact that we both made a bit of money was the bonus.

The evenings were spent playing board games and laughing to the point of tears.  Our oldest sister Linda rode along with Mel and it was a blast just catching up and going back to the old days of game playing.

I hope you smiled as much as I did this past weekend.  But I already miss them.

I believe all you 'O' girls are geniuses. Amazing all the stuff you can produce.
I am roughing up a travel book and just a few minutes ago I was at Marquette and I thought, for color I can add "As you drive the Upper Peninsula you can stop by Cher and Thom's in xxxx as you head that way".

Love from south Carolina...

I just wish I was more competitive when it comes to playing games. It's like I just let you win without even trying! I guess I don't like to hurt feelings. lol
Thanks for the weekend hospitality and laughter ~ the time just went by too fast!!

Happy to hear that you had such a great weekend with Mom and Linda. I know family time is always a blast and full of laughter. I love your little aprons and oven mitts, they are so adorable. Your cookies looked rather delicious also. Sounds like Mom got taught a lesson in the card playing this weekend too. I like her comment about not being competitive ... lol ... at least she took loosing graciously! Love you all and miss you like crazy!
