This is a plea to my sisters ~ I will be eyeing over your plants this spring in hopes that when you see my sad puppy eyes you will take pity on me and share some of yours. How's that for begging?? Come to think of it I should go go see the brothers too ~ they have big green thumbs . lol

I am especially intiqued by this white hosta ~
but all of them are beautiful. 
Now I'm wondering if it would be wise of me to buy stock in "Liquid Fence" before I start planting this spring! As my Dad used to say "hm.. now that's something to ponder!"

Liquid Fence, I hear, works...Eric uses it and he says it works as long as you redo it after each rainfall...as for sharing plants, OF COURSE, you are welcome to come and check out my beds...they all need dividing except the peonies...I will gladly share. My list is long so bring the back of the van, lay a tarp, and youwhoooo we will fill it up...A WORD OF ADVISE...prepare large beds BEFORE you come, or it will be overwhelming.
I'm taking Mom to the funeral tomorrow so we will be gone from early morn til late night...it's 3 1/2 hrs. one way. When will you be here, is it Mon?

I have never grown hostas as I know that slugs and snails love them. however, those are beautiful - I might try this year,

I love hostas too and yes my friendly neighborhood deer do as well.
I don't know that I've ever seen white but I like it. In a planting with the green it would be lovely.
We bought Liquid Fence and haven't used it yet. I will come spring.

I love hostas too. These are all so beautiful. Mine aren't up yet for the spring but I'm keeping an eye out for them.
Cher: Great shot of the Hostas. I have them on three sides of my house and have several types. The Giant Blue is my favorite.

Hostas are so lovley. I have yet to try my hand at them. Rotten slugs sould have a hay day. They seem to like my yard...:(

I love Hostas too! I love seeing gardens full of various colors and sizes of them. That white one is really neat, very unusual.
I've heard Liquid Fence works too, but I think you have to keep up with the applications fairly regularly.
Wow! A white hosta! How beautiful. It's too hot and too dry in Phoenix for these beautiful plants. Can't wait until I can go back to the ever wet East Texas and have some for my own!

Ooooh! I love hostas. They don't grow here though. Man...if you lived close I could fill your yard. Our whole front yard is mostly from friends!

The white hosta is cool! If you lived nearby, I'd be happy to share my hostas. Anyone you know traveling to SW Ohio?
Liquid Fence does work. Make sure to wear disposable plastic gloves when applying, because wash though you may, the smell does not come off for a l-o-n-g time.
You can also whiz up some eggs and water in a blender and apply that.
