Memorial Day

We went out to dinner with friends on Friday night when suddenly an elderly gentleman announced that in honor of Memorial Day he would like to share something ~ the silence was broken with his beautiful tenor voice singing:

"I'm Proud to be an American"

Every single table joined in the verse. It was very moving! It will be a memory I will hold for all Memorial Days to come.

My heartfelt 'thanks' to all who
serve or have served!

What a great story, I know I would remember it forever. I love it when something like that happens, it cannot be scheduled, advertised or planned publicly, but displayed that way.
Love the entry!

Cher, I just know such an experience would be unforgettable. How wonderful for you to experience it.
We had a picnic with Andy and the boys and Uncle Eric and we told the kids of all the many that served from our families. It was great.
