My Crystal Palace

I don't know why - but I love glass.
Here's some of our cut-glass and crystal collection.
I once heard it said that if you have three or more of anything; you can consider it a collection. If that's the case, then I'm a collect-a-holic.
But there's just 'something' about glass. I even hung an old hanging lamp outside, just because I love how the sun shines through it.
and ... I took another old lamp light and made it into a make-shift gazing ball. Okay, so maybe you can't gaze into it because its not transparent and it doesn't reflect anything but I still love how it dresses up my closed in area with the picket fencing in the front yard.

hmm ...
what to do with all those wine bottles ~
what to do ...

This is a beautiful collection! I have very few old dishes on display, mainly because I am a dust collector. I excell in that area. That was a wonderful idea to hang that light globe outside! You are very original!

I love glass too...but like Cathy, I hate to dust it...we have collected a lot of antique pieces over the years. I was going to open an antique shop, but now I am not, so we will be having a heck of a sale late this summer. ha

I love your hanging lamp outside and the gazing ball. I remember seeing in a magazine once with some wine bottles hanging from tree limbs. They just had a twist of wire around the top and then over the branches. I was thinking some of the colored bottles that you have would look pretty cool hanging from your arbor???

Very "glassy" place you've got there Cher.
Gotta love it.
Do you have to move stuff in when it rains
hard? Just wondering if its shatterproof glass???
Looks like you have some of the pieces that
Mom and Daddy had at the farm. So glad you
cherish them. You're collection is really nice.
Catch ya later lady... love ya, me

You have a nice collection of glass. I am drawn to glass myself. I like the way the light shine's through it and makes it glimmer and throw off prisms. I also like to polish glass. The globe out side is a great idea.
