It's Fawn Time Again

It's that time of year again when the fawns start showing up. I took pictures of this fawn last spring ~ right in our yard. She thought she was well hidden but there she was, right in the middle of the lawn, just a few feet from the road.
With a little coaxing she moved and "hid" in the longer grasses behind our property. Still within our view, but much safer.
Since living here, we've had at least one if not two does as frequent visitors to our yard sharing their babies with us. Come fall we have had as many as ten deer at the same time. Therefore; the garden fence!!

Awww, if that isn't the sweetest gift that Mother Nature could give you. A chance to be a resting place for the innocent wee one.
That fawn is just precious. I'm so glad that you were able to get a picture of it. There's something so charming and majestic about deers.
Yep, I agree, they're definitely a great reason for a garden fence. :)

Cher, What a creative scrapbook page of your spring fawn and was glad to see her......we also, always have deer daily, so fencing has become a 'natural' for us north WI gardeners, as well....not only for our gardens, but also the fruit trees.....a price well paid for one of the most rewarding gifts..the wee animals

Nice photo Cher. I haven't seen any fawns up close yet this year. Over by Randy's place there is a pie bald deer that I'd like to get some pictures of. I might have to put my trail cam up over there.
