There's snowplace like home!
I wish I could have slipped into some ruby slippers and clicked my heels together to instantly tranport me back to my home this morning, rather than the drive on snow covered roads.
We went 'home' to visit with my Mom and siblings for a few days, but when the weather took a turn for the worse we decided to try and beat the worst of the storm and head for our 'home' a couple of days earlier than planned. Wet slushy icy snow covered roads caused some accidents along our way, but thankfully none involved us. After the first hours drive, the roads warmed enough to melt off the snow for ease in driving.

Even the chicken's had their coop redone to match the house.

Mom's house looks great. I see they put a metal roof on, or was that already there. I could not remember. But the place sure does look spiffy!

I'm glad you made it home safely; but was sad to see you leave here so soon. Don said Thom's a wuss ... not staying. All those years in Alaska and Wisconsin, now northern Michigan and he still cries about a light dusting of snow. lol We just wanted to gang up on him one more time and put our brains to the test playing the "Sort It Out" game. Mom is so happy with her "new" house and so are her chickies! I'm glad you were finally able to see it in person. There's SnowPlace like home.
Snow. That's a dreaded four letter word in my book. Love the resided house though. It looks quite charming! Let's not talk about snow. (grumble, grumble, grumble)
No white stuff here.....yet...but it won't be long!
Were expected to have lots of snow this week. pretty to look at, no fun to drive in!
