hello

Hello, yes ~ yes I'm talking to you! Do you ever have one of those days when you look at the things around you and smile as you count your blessings? Well today was that kind of day for me, Please feel free to come and join me.  I'd like to show you just of few of the little things around the house that make up what I call home!  And the best part ~ is that I get to share it with family and friends, friends like you!

The big snow of Leap Day 2012 hit us big time!

White on white and more to come over the weekend. 

Now that's what I call living up north! 

I was thinking of gardening 

but not today! 

I'm sure the birds appreciate

 the seeds set out for them. 

Once again the trees are bowing 

to Old Man Winter! 

Dancing

I love dancing 

always have

always will

I started on my Daddy's toes

then graduated

to going solo

or joining my sisters

and in my teens 

'I rocked'! 

dreaming of dancing 

for a living 

until I met a new dance partner

who set my life a twirl

taking me in a new direction

years later my life changed again 

and I lost my dance partner

but I still danced in my dreams 

and then a new dance partner 

entered my life 

 who still sweeps me off my feet 

I hope to dance forever

Great Day

We had a wonderful sunny day today.  Started it out by treating Thom to one of his favorite breakfasts - which I seldom make because they are just too darned good to be healthy!! And of course homemade is always made with love so they just have to taste the best! I know it's not quite the same but  here's a little food for your eyes:

as I go along ... somehow they always turn out 

We ended the day with going out to eat with our new neighbors. If you remember my Dec 12th posting about the world renown organist Dave Wickerham stopping in for a visit ... well ~ he and his family moved next door to us. We have new neighbors!  Good food and good company is a great way to end a perfect day. Hoping your day was as good as ours.  Have a wonderful Super Bowl Sunday!
