Looks like you did a great job getting him! Pretty little bird. I have put up hummingbird feeders and never got one. I fed lots of ants though. Maybe I should try again.
I have four hummers now that are steady visitors to the feeder:) I took the plastic flowers off one of my feeders to convert it to an oriole feeder (bigger holes) and they seem to prefer going to that one over the other. I just might have to pop off the plastic flowers on my other one too.
Terrific shots Cheryl! So good to see you back posting. Now if I could clone myself and be able to keep up. You are an inspiration and I so love your blog.
Great photos of the hummers. And can anyone look at these and NOT smile! They will zip by my front door occasionally and hover. It looks like they're thinking, "Hey! What's in THERE?!!" Love those little creatures. Have a great weekend.

Nice shots!!! And you are right; you have to be patient for that shot!

yeah, i stick to the feeder shots or the sitting-in-tree shots. i don't aim for the buzz-by!
BTW, thank you for taking off word verification. it truly is a bother! :)
Love the hummers! Great shots!
Havin' fun with that new camera, I see...makes me dizzy trying to get hummer shots. You did good.

Yes, Cher, I have tried to capture the hummingbirds but so far have had no luck. They are elusive critters.
OMG! You're good! Yes I have tried...I'm just not quick enough!!
*hugs*deb
Cher I have several of those pretty hummingbirds coming round now too! I love watching them!

Ever since I found macro on my camera I have been obsessed too...I never noticed such neat things until I could see them through my macro lens!
