I love to bake and it shows every time I step on the scale.
So I finally figured out a way to beat it
... I quit stepping on the scale!

Blackberry PieThere's no question how much I love food, but as I was looking through some of my digital photo albums it actaully took me by surprise just how often I photograph my food too,
combining my semi talents.
I guess a part of me is knows that I bake for consumption so this is my way of journaling a part of who I am and what I like to do.
I've heard it said that you eat with your eyes

yum yum yum ...you make me so hungry for something on the sweet side...so I just made a buttercup squash for summer with butter and brown sugar...tastes just like a pumpkin pie minus the crust...I too, love consumption and look it...God gave us good German genes, or is that jeans, to fill......LOL....love that you take memory shots of all those goodies
that buttercup squash was for 'supper', not 'summer'...after all it is the first official day of fall...anyway, now, I'm confused...but that surprises no one...good thing I can laugh at myself
Keep taking those photos and hang on to those recipes ~ I see a cookbook in the works here. Seeing as how I have to start all over with my book... hmm... maybe WE should think this over and do a US book. US being the whole bunch of US. Something to think about.

think the last thing I baked was
a mug chocolate cake in the microwave...
if you even call that baking.
I'll have to leave the "Martha Stewart" moments to
my sisters. I bet Eric, Randy and Doug
bake more than I do!! lol I know Slim and Bill do...
